Secure Email

RiverWood Bank takes the security and confidentiality of your information seriously. Standard email is not a secure method of communication for confidential information to be shared. Secure Email provides a safe and secure way to send confidential information in an encrypted environment.

To ensure the highest levels of confidentiality for you, we have partnered with Zix Corporation (ZixCorp), the leader in email encryption services. RiverWood Bank prides itself in its customer service and believes this new feature will provide both safety and convenience.

ZixCorp’s easy-to-use email protection makes it seamless for you to receive, read and reply to all encrypted email communications from RiverWood Bank. If you are a ZixCorp customer, you do not need to do anything. Email is securely sent between our organizations and delivered directly to your Inbox. If you are not currently a ZixCorp customer, you will receive confidential email through the Secure Message Center.

How Encrypted Email Works

When RiverWood Bank sends you a secure email, it is sent to the Secure Message Center where it will be held for you to retrieve. You will receive a standard email notification to inform you that a secure email is waiting to be retrieved. The notification will contain a link to a secure website. Simply click on the link, log into the secure website, and retrieve the email.

Create Your Account

The first time you use RiverWood Bank’s Secure Message Center, you will be prompted to create an account. A confirmation link will be emailed to you at the email address you use to create your account. Click the link to complete the account setup process. Click here to set up new account.

Receiving Encrypted Email

When RiverWood Bank sends you a secure email, you receive a notification email with instructions on how to open the message. The notification message arrives in your email Inbox. You select “Open Message” in the notification to go to the Secure Message Center. Once logged in, you can read the email, download it to your computer or send a secure reply message.

Sending Email to the Bank

To send a Secure Email, click the Secure Message Center link above. Once logged in, you can create a new secure email by clicking on the ’Compose’ tab.
